To our beloved MGF community,
We hope this email finds you well and excited for end-of-year celebrations!
Here is an inspirational anecdote about the work we are doing together:
A few weeks ago, following the Thanksgiving holiday, our Board navigated a heart-wrenching and extremely time-sensitive circumstance involving a 13-year-old girl from overseas. She was diagnosed with progressive osteosarcoma originating in her femur, and was unable to receive treatment in her home country.
Due to the lack of medical insurance coupled with the potential terminal nature and advanced stage of the cancer, two hospitals here in the United States denied her case. By seemingly a miracle, an individual donor within the MGF community quickly rose to the occasion and selflessly directed considerable funds (north of $600,000) through our Foundation to support this young girl.
After spending most of November at a motel down the street from a renowned hospital in Florida, the young girl was finally accepted and admitted for treatment. Because of this donation, she is now undergoing chemotherapy for the next three plus months.
She now has hope, a plan of action, and all of us behind her!
Why are we sending this email?
First and foremost to thank the individual donor, once more publicly; to emphasize what is delayed is not denied (2 Corinthians 1:20); and to ask that you keep this young girl and MGF in your thoughts this holiday season!
Thank you for contributing to what we are building here together.
With love,
Mark Glicini & the MGF Board of Directors
